Movie trailers have been around for decades — you know, those short teasers that make you yearn to see the full movie.
Video book trailers were all the rage a few years ago.
But I don’t recall seeing many trailers for new music albums — at least not from independent artists.
That’s why I’m so impressed with this new promo trailer from Ryan Marquez.
It includes live performance samples interspersed with interview clips from band members. It’s well done.
Question: Could you do something similar with your next album release?

Dayna Jade is a singer/songwriter for a progressive metal band in New Jersey, who transits frequently to the Northeast, United States. Upon her travels, she often performs live shows, writes new songs, rehearses with her band, networks new contacts, while also visiting family and friends. She also does studio sessions (i.e.) vocal tracks, scratch tracks, song lyrics and melodies. Although Dayna sings metal, she is gifted in just about any genre, including rock, alternative rock, blues, pop and some country pop.
On her thoughts about music, she says, “I definitely enjoy a wide variety of music, especially growing up with both parents being singers, my mother a pop singer; father an opera singer; uncle a blues/jazz trumpet player and cousin, a conga player in a salsa band. I’m very proud to be carrying on the musical legacy my family has left behind and so diverse, to appreciate all types of music.”
Dayna creates and performs music for the pure LOVE of it! Music remains her soul and heart’s desire, never ceasing, and it’s not a matter of giving up or stopping; She can’t, and never will until the day she is called home. Also, she’d like to make a difference in this world; to inspire, encourage, touch ones soul, laugh or cry, sing, dance and know, by her lyrics, to show people that they’re not alone. And for a moment, or perhaps hours, to brisk them away from life’s cares with her beautiful and gifted way of expressing music.
In late 2016, Dayna became Executive Chief Administrative Officer (EVP-CAO) of The Musicians Rock Network, which entails media in video & music photography, musician support, and also providing coverage for regional, national, and world music news. Her exceptional work ethics and untiring persistence has brought the organization into a brighter scope with a broader definition. In the same year of 2016, in the month of December, she extended her career in modeling, having been photographed exquisitely and professionally on the beautiful paradise of Anna Marie Island, Florida.
Dayna Jade is that multi-talented, yet magical woman that carries the voice of an angel, able to captivate both young and old with her vibrato and amazing vocal range!

The artist known as Dirty “D” began his career as D.J. Dell with the group “Men of the Hour,” who signed a national recording contract with “On Top Records,” out of Miami, FL. Unfortunately the group did not stay together. Later deciding to pursue a solo career, Dirty released his first underground tape titled, “The Intro” which he sold out of the trunk of his 98.
After completing the “Tha Intro” album project in 92, Dirty “D” began developing his second album “Dirty Playa.” After extensive distribution pursuits panned out with no agreed results, Dirty took it back to the streets and sold the CD “Dirty Playa” out of the trunk; with the proceeds, he started his own production studio where he produced, mixed and recorded his first single called “Here I Come!”, naming his studio “2 Raw Production”. Dirty “D” was one of the artists selected to perform in the New York City International Music Festival held in Miami, FL.
As one of the winners from the Miami showcase, the outstanding entertainer was invited to Los Angeles, CA and featured in the NOHO- LA magazine (for article CLICK HERE) during the festival. This 2 Raw Playa representing North Memphis, Tennessee is still making music today, surviving in the underworld of Memphis music, displaying his own innovative rap style and produces other artists which are featured on his new songs titled “Hustle Tight” and “Still” (Down with L.D.N.); these songs will be released on new mix C.D. titled DIRTY “D” WAR-DELL presents “THA PRODUCT” (Volume 1) featuring the Memphis Player single “Handlin Yo Bizzness”.
THA PRODUCT” (Volume 1) was released on March 22, 2014. At 2:40 am Dirty was admitted to Methodist hospital with the blood pressure 240 over 140, then seven days later he recorded and mixed the song “Bounce Back”.
New song every week! All original! Mixed, mastered, engineered, written, recorded, produced by Liftd!
Some of his inspirations in music include but not limited to Scarface,
2-pac, Ice Cube and Ludacris. This versatile artist can get into character and rise to a performance level that is a cut above on each track that he performs on! Those that have heard him cannot believe it is the same artist.
Although various styles linger in his realm, he has taken the challenge of making you not only bounce your head to the rhythms but also take heed to the message in his lyrics.
His life has not been easy and is a constant challenge and struggle. At an early age, he lost key people in his life. He lost his mother, father, and grandparents. He found solitude in his music to help him cope and continue. When asked about losing those so close and dear to him his response is “THE LORD ALMIGHTY IS MY MOTHER, FATHER AND EVERYTHING ELSE NEEDED”
In the past he has performed in various venues from San Diego to Oakland including clubs on the world famous Sunset Strip in Hollywood California. Well educated and working as a Kidney Care Technician Ken aka Fat Mac has and knows what patience and understanding is to get things right.
He has been marveled for his performances with Da Ying Yang Twins, Young Buck, Lloyd Banks of G-Unit, and Ice-T just to name a few. In closing you are in for a real treat so get ready for the next evolution in music for Ken Harris aka Fat Mac “Old School with a New Swing”
